BAUM UND PFERDGARTEN
On Friday, Copenhagen SS15 Fashion week wrapped up a successful and inspiring round of shows. Although one of the biggest and most established names at the Danish Fashion Week, natives Baum und Pferdgarten have always been a great brand to watch for the next out of the box trends. As we’ve already touched on in our post about mixed prints this week, summer 2015 has a fun focus on mixing everything you’re not supposed to mix. An opposites attract kind of vibe and Baum und Pferdgarten definitely confirms that trend in this show. We’re also getting a great load of influences from classic Japan in this collection (Chanel, Thom Browne) with flowering, sheer pleats and kimono like coats that I believe will be come a staple 2015. Additionally there’s a strong, and empowering sporty edge in this collection with saturated almost neon blue hues and funky modern textiles like neoprene and cut-out patterns. This is a really cool collection and a brand that translates well to street. More inspiration here.
